BUYING GUIDE

How to read an iPhone IMEI check report

A report can contain several different status fields. Read each one for the question it answers, together with the selected service and the report time.

Start with the service and identifier

Confirm that the report belongs to the IMEI or serial number you submitted and that the selected service matches your question. The Find My ON/OFF report is a narrower check than the combined carrier, lock status and FMI report. A blacklist check answers a separate question about reported device blocks.

If you expected a field that is absent, do not assume its value. Keep the report ID and contact support before ordering another service for the same question.

Find My ON/OFF and iCloud Clean/Lost are different fields

Find My ON means the provider reports Find My enabled. OFF means it reports Find My disabled at the report time. Unknown or a missing field is not OFF.

An iCloud Clean/Lost classification, when explicitly returned, is a separate field. It should not be inferred from Find My ON or OFF. The Find My-only service does not promise a Clean/Lost field. The combined report may return additional information, but its fields vary by device and provider response.

A field saying the device is clean in a blacklist report is not automatically an iCloud Clean/Lost classification. Read the field name, service and surrounding information, rather than the word “clean” alone.

Three examples of reading the fields together

Illustrative examples only. These combinations explain field meanings. They are not customer reports, proof about a particular phone or a promise that every service returns these fields.

Example results and the conclusion you can draw
Fields shownReasonable interpretationWhat remains unanswered
Find My: ON
SIM lock: unlocked
The reported network-unlocked state does not cancel the reported Find My state.Ownership, physical condition and any missing blacklist or Clean/Lost field.
Find My: OFF
Blacklist status: noRecord
Find My is reported OFF and the blacklist provider found no record for that report.Future status, ownership and any carrier lock not explicitly reported.
Find My: Unknown
Device is clean: true in a blacklist report
The blacklist result does not supply the missing Find My result.Find My remains unconfirmed. Do not display or treat it as OFF.

What does noRecord mean in a blacklist check?

In an illustrative blacklist report, blackliststatus: noRecord is displayed as “No blacklist record found”. The accompanying device is clean: true is explained as no blacklist record reported. Neither field establishes who owns the phone, whether Find My is OFF or whether every SIM will work.

Standard GSMA and Pro with history are distinct services. Their names alone do not guarantee every network or historical record. See the blacklist report explanation and prices.

Carrier, purchase country and warranty information

A carrier field names the network returned by the provider; it should not automatically be treated as the phone’s current operator. An explicit SIM-lock field addresses network restrictions. A purchase-country or sold-by field may describe sale information, not the device’s present location.

Warranty and coverage fields concern the information returned for the selected warranty check or Sold By and Coverage report. They do not confirm an iCloud, blacklist or SIM-lock status unless those separate fields are actually provided.

Why can a report still show an older status?

A completed report is a dated provider response. Turning Find My on or off on the phone does not rewrite an earlier report. Even a new order can depend on when the provider updates its records; we do not promise a particular update interval.

“Refresh existing report” retrieves that order again without a new check charge. It is useful for a processing result, but it is not a command to force a new database lookup. If a report remains unclear, use the existing report ID when contacting support.

Before buying the phone

Match the identifier to the actual device, review the relevant restrictions and inspect the phone. A report cannot demonstrate the seller’s legal ownership or test the screen, battery and cameras.
